The explaination he was given is that it slams into the cam pretty hard and causes the roller pins in the lifter to fail consequently causing the cam to fail. i have NO way to validate these, but they make sense to me. 3. Webb27 aug. 2024 · Hemi "Tick" coming from the top of the Motor is NORMAL. A little lifter noise does NOT translate through the bottom of the car to the exhaust. That noise sounds like a RATTLE. All the oil has drained to the pan and it will tick till the pump gets oil up there. The trick is to use oil that will get there and start lubing the fastest.
